This is just a silly aside, but how many of you are a bit frustrated with the total inconvenience of USB C these days? I'm using a MacBook Pro, which only has USB C ports, and I am subject to a never-ending swap of adapters to get things done. If you're on a Mac, you could try MakeMyPi which downloads, if necessary, a Wheezy image and writes it for you, then configures the Pi according to your liking (and any custom provisioning scripts), while filling the SD card with the root file system (so you're not limited to the default 2GB space). The SD card contains all the software which we are going to use on our Raspberry Pi. Once the file was finished writing, back into the Pi 3, and RISC OS was ready to go.

The process was pretty much the same the only real difference being I had to hunt around my Downloads directory and select an image. But if you want to try it today, you’ll need to install the Beta Test Bootloader using Raspberry Pi Imager by clicking on the Choose OS button, scrolling down to Misc utility images, then selecting Beta Test Bootloader, and finally SD card boot. From the Operating System button, I selected the Use Custom option and selected the desired image file. Download the RISCOSPi.5.24.zip file, extract it, and find the ro524-1875M.img file.
